HSM Purchases Alarm Industry National Account Provider National Alarm Pro

Jupiter, Fla., July 29, 2005—HSM (Honeywell Security Monitoring) announces the purchase of one of the alarm industry’s key players in the national account arena, National Alarm Pro, headquartered in Trumbull, CT. The sale includes all of the company’s national and other commercial accounts being serviced throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

“The National Alarm Pro acquisition gives us additional presence and market share, especially in the retail segment,” states Tony Byerly, senior vice president of sales and national accounts of HSM. “The purchase also improves our position as the number two provider of electronic security for national accounts in the United States.”

National Alarm Pro has specialized in commercial electronic security for many years, having established a reputation for excellent customer service. Some of the quality national retail customers it protects include: Gucci, Ann Taylor, Sports Authority, Escada, Barnes & Noble, The Home Depot, Talbots, J.Crew and Nextel.

According to Gregg Oxfeld, president of National Alarm Pro, “In the pursuit to always bring the very best combination of service and technology to our clients, this opportunity to join forces with HSM has now given us the ability to deliver an even greater level of service, provide a larger range of systems integration packages, and bring to our customers the benefits of a larger management team to support our clients and the ever changing environment of the loss prevention industry.”

Tim Whall, president and chief operating officer of HSM, commented, “The purchase of National Alarm Pro directly reflects one of our key objectives at HSM, which is to expand our presence in the national account arena and to fill the significant void the security industry has been experiencing over the past few years with a clear alternative provider and a true preferred provider of choice.”

According to Byerly, HSM plans to bring its renowned on-line, real-time eServices™, such as eDataManager™ and its soon to be released eVideoManager™ to National Alarm Pro customers. Additionally, HSM will include National Alarm Pro customers in its exclusive National Account Performance Scorecard to be introduced this fall, which rates HSM’s comprehensive performance against five customer interactions: account management, installation, service, monitoring and billing for each national account customer.
